Here’s one that bears repeating over and over again: Morgan Wallen has brought in another platinum-selling record, and he is calling it, “One Thing At A Time.”

It’s a hot thirty-six tracked, fully racked and packed album. It includes a collaboration with Eric Church on Track number 4, Man Made a Bar. Then there’s Track number 3, Everything I Love, which is a stylish interpolation of The Allman Brothers’ Midnight Rider. Track number 31, 180, follows in the same vein: it’s a genius interpolation of Young Thug’s Lifestyle. Sweet and beautiful, Track number 35, Outlook, included Wallen’s sister Ashlyne singing harmony.

Every song on this slam-dunk masterpiece is good listening, pure and simple. “One Thing At A Time” is Morgan Wallen’s third studio album. The multi-platinum lit recording artist hails from Sneedville, Tennessee. Whatever they got going on in Sneedville, sounds like the world needs some more.

There is no denial of Wallen’s latest appeal to the fans. His shimmering new work has landed in the Number One spot on the Billboard 200—and it’s the very first week Wallen’s new album is included on the list. If that wasn’t wonderful news already, one of the record’s best songs, Last Night, jumped into the Number One spot as of this week after being on the Billboard Hot 100 list just for a lonely six weeks.

Thought You Should Know is the absolutely gifted tribute by Morgan Wallen to his mother Lesli. He chose to cowrite the song with the mega powerhouse songwriting team Miranda Lambert and Nicolle Galyon. Though his Number One hit was released as a promotional last year, Thought You Should Know is Track number 17 of “One Thing At A Time.”

In celebration of his latest work, Morgan brought an incredible gift to his fans this month: On the 3rd of March he gave a free show inside Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. With a reported 19,292 people in attendance, Wallen set the arena’s record. I was invited to inspect the fun from my Instagram account’s livestreaming option. It was hard to stop watching. I truly was enjoying each moment of the honest songwriter’s approach.

Somehow, Morgan just knows what he needs to deliver, and walks right into it. He seems happy, bringing us along with him, one thing at a time.
